<body-html>
Gallery Shibui started as a small specialty boutique located in Raleigh, NC. “Shibui” refers to a Japanese concept embracing “things of simple and unobtrusive beauty.” We have functioned as a gallery, hanging several shows per year; and a studio for the paper arts, specializing in bookmaking. To that end, this site focuses primarily on specialty papers from Japan and Canada, as well as supplies for creating books, collage, origami, etc. Gallery Shibui has closed its Cameron Village location and has moved to another gallery in Boylan Heights. Here, we focus exclusively on our beautiful papers, tools for book and paper craft, and on our book and paper arts workshops. We are very excited about our migration and will continue our adventures in the pursuit of the world’s most beautiful paper as well high quality workshops. We hope you will visit us at 301-2 Kinsey Street in Raleigh. This is also the home of Rebus Works, a gallery and archival frame shop.
